What local homes run into
Tree roots in older sewer laterals
Charlotte's mature willow oaks are beautiful and thirsty. Their roots find the joints in clay sewer pipe, especially in Myers Park, Dilworth and Eastover. Repeat spring and fall backups are the usual symptom.

Do you charge for estimates?
It depends on the job. Diagnostic visits are typically charged; replacement estimates often aren't. We'll tell you on the phone before anyone is scheduled.
Are your plumbers licensed?
Yes. Plumbing work is performed under a North Carolina plumbing contractor license, and South Carolina work under South Carolina licensing. Ask for the license number when you call — you can verify it with the state licensing board.
Do you have an office in every town you serve?
No. The towns on our locations pages are service areas — places we send plumbers to. We don't claim offices we don't have.
Can you give me a price over the phone?
For some simple jobs we can give a range. Most plumbing prices depend on what's behind the wall, so we'd rather diagnose than guess. Each service page lists what affects the cost.

What should I do while I wait for the plumber?
Shut off the water to the leaking fixture or the whole house, switch off power to any wet area, move valuables, and stop using drains if one is backing up. Take photos for insurance before cleaning up.
How do I prepare for a plumbing visit?
Clear the area under the sink or around the fixture, make sure the plumber can reach the water heater, main shutoff and any outdoor cleanout, and note when the problem started and what makes it worse.
Do you work on both houses and rental properties?
Yes — owner-occupied homes and residential rentals. For rentals, we can coordinate access with tenants and send written findings to the owner or property manager.
